Grouping

Classes are offered for three developmentally
appropriate age groups, as well as mixed age groups:

Infants (birth to 18 months)
Toddlers (walkers, 18 to 36 months)
Preschool children (3 to 5 years)
Mixed ages (birth to 5 years)

Class length

Infants receive 30 minutes of music guidance;
toddlers, preschoolers, and mixed ages receive 40 minutes of music guidance.
Families should arrive 10 minutes early and stay 10 minutes late for
informal play, instrument exploration, and song requests.

What's in each class

Classes for infants and toddlers features interactive, developmentally appropriate songs, games
and activities;these activities help build music vocabulary, develop coordination,
and promote cognitive growth. Children and parents experience songs, chants,
“music conversation”,movement activities, games, and dances.
Classes feature songs and spoken chants with and without words, bounces,
finger plays, games, circle dances, movement exploration,
and playing simple percussion instruments (shaker eggs, rhythm sticks, jingle bells, etc.).

Classes for preschool children feature songs, games, and activities that continue to build
and increase music vocabulary, develop coordination, and promote cognitive growth.
Children and parents experience songs, chants, “music conversation”, movement activities,
games, and dances. Classes feature more complex songs and spoken chants
with and without words, games, circle dances, movement exploration,
and playing simple percussion instruments (shaker eggs, rhythm sticks, jingle bells, etc.).
Movement activities are expanded to promote children’s creativity and improvisation
through creative movement imagery. “Music conversation” features more complex
tonal and rhythm patterns, tonal and rhythm solfege, and tonal and rhythm notation.
For this age group, creativity and improvisation is emphasized.

8 forty minute classes: $104.00
(one time registration fee of $10.00
for new students)

Registration

Registration is on a first come first
serve basis. To register for classes,
contact us and request a
registration form. Registration will
be confirmed by phone or email as
classes are formed. No refunds
after the first class.

Cancellations

If a class is cancelled due to
weather emergency or teacher
illness, families will be pro-rated
for that class only. No returns for
missed classes.

Siblings

Siblings receive 50% discount
from full price when attending with
another full-paid sibling.
